Chilis Menu

Our first impression eating at Chilis the other night was a good one. There wasn’t a wait and the host staff seated us quickly. We also asked for a booth in the back and they took care of that for us. At first Glance the Chilis Menu was just what we were looking for. We ordered up toMargaritas and the awesome Fire Grilled Corn Guacamole. I’m not a guacamole expert but this Chilis Appetizer is Perfect.

The dish comes with freshAvocados, Cilantro, Chilis House Made Pico de Gallo, Fired Grilled Corn with Sweet & SpicyJalapeAos.We absolutely loved it. It was just the right size and set us up nicely for the main course. By this time we ordered our second round of margaritas too. We’ve tried the “Wings Over Buffalo” before and it’susuallyone we always order but the guacamole was new on the Chilis Menu so we had to give it a try.

SO when it came time to dig in to the main course I went for the sweet baby back ribs, you know the dishalwayson the commercials and has that song that sticks in your head. The ribs areabsolutelyfabulous I and highly recommend them to anyone. You can’t go wrong witht e ribs from Chilis. My wife had the Grilled Ribeye and she can’t rave enough about it. Slow cooked toperfectionwere her exact words. She ordered the dish and it came out perfect. If you’re a steak love looking for a good Ribeye she highly recommends the ordering the Ribeye from the Chilis Menu. My ribs were perfect as well. They were cooked so well they practically feel off the bone when eating. Of course they were messy but what rack of ribs aren’t?

Throughout our meal at Chilis the wait staff wascourteous andfor the most part a pleasurableexperience. It did get kind of loud with all the young kids sitting near us but the food made up for it. If you’re looking to sit down with a nice rack of baby back ribs or slow cooked grilled ribeye then Chilis is the place to be. As they say, “Pepper On Some Fun”

Why haven’t the chilis on my plants tured from green to orange?
Why haven’t the chilis on my plants tured from green to orange?
I live in England and have been growing Cheyenne chili peppers outdoors. The plant has produced a reasonable amount of good sized fruit so all of this is fine. However, the chilis have not turned from green to the orange that they are meant to be. The harvest time for the plant is August onwards so surely this should of happened, or at least started to happen by now? Does anyone know why this may not have happened? Any ideas/suggestions/advice gratefully received! Serious answers only please. Oh, and i’m pretty sure it is not to do with the temperature here as it has been a warm/hot summer so I doubt this is the cause.

Are they in full sunlight? Peppers grown in shady areas and get lots of moisture will stay greener longer than those grown in full sun.

How many hostesses work a busy night at chilis?
I have my first training day at chilis for a hostess tomorrow. I know it is going to be really hectic and busy because of the red wings game. I was wondering how many hosts usually work a typical friday night?

    • xxxdanceprincessxxx says:

about 2-3 if its really busy..
but if you are training most likely you wont stay for too long
especially if it’s your first day..

I have looked online and I have looked in shops, but cannot find canned green chilis anywhere!

If there’s nowhere to buy them, what can I substitute?

How much does a bartender at Chilis make?
I am thinking about taking a bartending class and getting my license, and id like to know what bartenders at Chilis make, per night/per year including tips? I live in Daytona florida, so a Chilis in my area has pretty good trunover.

First you should know that there is no such thing as a bartending license. Meaning that you don’t actually, by law, need any kind of formal training or a license from a bartending school to start bartending. And, even if you do get a bartending “license”, it doesn’t, by any means, guarantee you a job. Yes, some schools will promise you job placements but they can’t guarantee you’ll get a job.

The foremost skills that a good bartender needs are to be personable, outgoing and enjoy people. Beyond that, everything else can be learned. If you are the type of person that needs the structure of a school setting to help you learn, then by all means, go to bartending school.

If you are disciplined enough to learn on your own, start by going to http://www.bars-and-bartending.com/bartending-school-online.html, watch all the videos and practise, practise, practise.

Another route is to start as a hostess in a restaurant to get the feel for the industry (you’ll be able to get a hostess job without any previous experience). Then you can ask the manager to train behind the bar on your own time, learning all the ins and outs of tending bar.

Now, onto Chilis. You can make decent money working at franchises like Chilis. They are generally pretty busy, so you can expect to pull in around $100 per night in tips on top of your hourly wage. What that works out to yearly depends on how many shifts you are working per week and how many of those are the busy shifts.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your bartending career.

    Chilis!??!?
I never been, but always wanted, is the baby back ribs pork or beef? My boyfriend doesnt eat pork, but i do. Is that like the only thing different flavored ribs? What is your favorite course on the menu?

    • darkw1ng00 says:

I have never had the ribs, but I LOVE Chili’s.
My personal favorite is the Big Mouth Bites, which are 4 mini burgers with bacon and ranch sauce, served with fries and onion strings.
But you absolutely MUST get the Skillet Queso as an appetizer! That stuff is SO good, it is queso cheese sauce with ground beef in it, and they give you a huge mound of tortilla chips to dip in it. It is amazing.
